Well today I lifted my Tacoma with help from a local FB Tacoma group member.

I spent quite a while sourcing a 3rd gen suspension with low miles and specifically got all the components from 2 different people. Got the coilovers and struts from somebody I had to make a 500+ mile round trip to get, and the rear leaf springs were sourced locally. The CO’s and struts had only a couple hundred miles on them and came off a 2020 TRD off road. The leaf springs had about 15k miles on them and came off the same type of Tacoma.

I didn’t even realize the coilovers have 1” spacers on them until I brought them home. I planned on taking them off but also realized the leafs I had sourced bad 2” lift AAL’s on them. So I said screw it and kept both on because I knew the AAL’s would be a big plus for my job since I do auto parts delivery for Toyota.

Needless to say, I am so surprised how good this new suspension feels. It’s like a whole new truck. My suspension was so worn out that I got more than a 3” lift lol

I was shocked how much of a lift I got. I’m 6’2” and the lift made it harder to get into my truck lol.

I’m also Installing some headlights with black housings tomorrow and doing some interior work.

    I can’t believe I waited a decade to add a lift… I absolutely love it.

Oh and in case anybody was wondering, this lift cost me $280. Super cheap option that has given me great results.

When I wear these tires out, I’m going to either get 255/80r17’s or 35x10.5r17’s with a regear. Im leaning towards the regear at the moment tho. I have WILD plans for this truck

I have ridiculously pointless and outlandish plans for this truck… I am almost done with real estate school and once I spend a year actually doing real estate I’m going to do a 3.0l D-4D diesel Toyota prado swap and make my truck into an access cab short bed. I also want to do a solid axel swap. I’m never getting rid of this truck so I want to go all out on it and make it my forever toy. Don’t care about the money I put into it because I won’t be worrying about ever selling it lol

All of that is at least a year away from fruition. But it will happen before I die lol

I’ve done the same (5) years ago and I think it’s a great oem swap. I still have it today and it’s great for daily driving.

i was honestly going to take off the spacer and the AAL but decided to try it out as it. I’m honestly glad I left those in. They turned out to work perfectly with each other lol

Hey looks like a great height. Was it a TSB 4 leaf plus an AAL?

A little of this and a little of that.
    Nice job on the lift.

The 2011 grill is a great looking grill.

Good plans for your truck. Keep posting updates please.
