TBH, if I get rear ended, I want a new truck lol. Just like if my house catches fire. I want them to dust the slab off and start over.

If people would get the hell off their phones when driving then we wouldn’t have to worry about it as much . Toyota needs to put led taillights those stock bulbs are just not bright enough .

I back my truck into the garage and if I had a hitch step, I'm sure, at some point, Id forget about it and back it through the drywall into my house...just sayin...

I have one of these from Tyger auto. I didnt much care for the stars on it so i covered it up with a rubber tread from harbor freight. It looks well, is reasonably priced, and seems to be well made.

It also doubles as a step for my wife.

The tyger one has a stabilizer. It will not make a noise.

I’ve already put my drawbar through my locker door. I make sure (after the fact) to remove it when not towing.

I went with the weathertech one. Not for protection in an accident but more for backed in parking as I need to keep backing up after the rear camera goes full solid beep to fit in my driveway/garage.

I have one, but IMO, it will make it that much easier to bend the frame in a rear ender.
