No problem, this is my temporary VIN, build date 7/26. Is there anything else on here different then that ?

Thanks, you may be right. I placed the order early June. About 4 days later, they gave me this vin. Yesterday the rep advised build date changed to 7/22, and he will send new vin soon. See what happens.

 

Probably gave you a general vin they had as an example. But they are sending you a new VIN of the truck you're actually going to buy.

 

They will give you a temp VIN before it goes in to production. Due to the letter in the middle it is only a temporary VIN. Once built the last 6 will be all numbers. Once your truck is built they will give you the actual VIN for the truck. If I’m not mistaken the 2 numbers before the letter will be the week that truck will be built. As in your case the 29th week of this year which I believe is next week. So a few weeks after that and you should be good.

 

This is a temporary VIN - pre production. You can tell by the letter in the 4th from last digit.

You guys may have seen my post on this, I traded our 2018 4X4 4R with 29887 miles on the odo, we are original owners, purchased 4/18, excellent, paid 36445. Dealer gave us 36K for it, and the $500 military, I am not on active duty.

I was going to wait on the 22's, and decided to see what I could get on trade now. Happy with that, I did not get any special deals on the MSRP.

Right. The actual VIN will be different and the last 6 digits will all be numbers. My pre-build was 5TFCZ5AN6LX03B179 and the actual is 5TFCZ5AN4LX2260XX.

FYI, once your vehicle goes into production, the temporary VIN will stop returning a result on that site.
