1GR-FE (non X-Runner) Oil Pan Spacer or Extra Capacity Oil Pan

This thread is to judge the demand for an oil pan spacer or increased capacity oil pan for 4 x 4 Tacomas with 1GR-FE V6 engines other than X-Runners. If there is enough demand for these items, I will make a small production run.

I have made similar products for the lowered X-Runner trucks because of their very shallow OEM oil pan.

These are oil pans for X-Runners. The black one on the left is OEM. The one on the right is made from 6061-T6 Aluminum with internal vertical baffles (with trap doors) and holds 2 1/2 extra quarts. Trap doors allow oil to pass to the center section, but not the reverse.

These next pics are for an Oil Pan Spacer to increase the stock oil pan capacity. While not as pretty, it is cheaper to make this. Again, these pics are of an X-Runner Oil Pan Spacer.

Black pan is OEM pan. Aluminum spacer underneath creates another quart of oil capacity.

These pics show the baffle inside the spacer.

These new products are designed around the 4 x 4 oil pan design and both will increase oil capacity and add baffling to help keep the oil in the lower pan. These would be more geared to the truck enthusiast that has a supercharger or turbo that is wanting a little more oil capacity.

@BassAckwards suggested I look into the possibility of offering these products for the higher horsepower crowd of TW, that had a 4 x 4 style oil pan.

Oil Pan Spacer w/baffle to be used with OEM steel Oil Pan

These are solid models of an oil pan spacer with a horizontal baffle. This is approximately 1.75" tall. This will add a little over a quart. There will be a tear drop spacer for the oil pan pick-up to drop the pick-up tube do a lower position in the oil pan. This kit would use your stock OEM steel pan. The kit will come with all bolts/gaskets required for installation. The bottom of the OEM pan should be flush with the existing cross member.

Price $570.00 including shipping to lower 48 states.

Extra Capacity Billet Aluminum Oil Pan w/horizontal baffle

These are solid models of an oil pan with a horizontal baffle.

I have looked into this and I will need to make the bottom plate of the pan removeable to make this machinable. These models do not show it, but I will make the bottom plate removeable . I will update these solid models in about a week.

This is approximately 1.75" taller than stock oil pan. This will add two (2) quarts of capacity and add a horizontal baffle. There will be a tear drop spacer for the oil pan pick-up to drop the pick-up tube do a lower position in the oil pan. The kit will come with all bolts/gaskets required for installation. The bottom of the OEM pan should be flush with the existing cross member. The bottom of the custom oil pan should be flush with the existing cross member.

Price $1500.00 including shipping to lower 48 states.

If we get enough people interested in ether of these projects, I will make a prototype and do a test fit. After a successful fit up, I will make a small run of parts. I would estimate four (4) weeks to make the prototype and another four (4) weeks to make a run of parts. So, start to finish about 8 – 9 weeks.

I am starting two lists. I would like a minimum of five (5) people to be on a list, prior to committing to a run of parts. After a minimum of five (5) people have signed up, I will also for a $200 deposit to be paid by PayPal. Once the units are ready to ship, I will ask for the balance. I am only planning to take on the projects if they hit five (5) people. If we get five (5) people that want the spacer but only two (2) people that want the oil pan, then I am only making the spacer.
