What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Installed my new TRD skid.

 

The testimonies/reviews are what sold me on upgrading. In fairness, weather cooled down here right after they were installed so tough to really evaluate the difference, but I love the tint already. Surprised how much I prefer looking out my windows now. Zero regrets on the upgrade.

 

That's what it was made for! My wife and I just had some surgeries, mine minor, hers very major, and they used the glue instead of stitches or staples.

Tinting windows and vent shades install is the 1st mods I did. In the summer I can leave the windows cracked open a bit so the cabin can breath and tinting keeps most the sun out.

Ordered plate to cover cat converter..anyone have any experience installing this? Apparently turds are running around stealing these off tacomas..

 

installed the matte black trd 4x4 stickers from etsy today. took the "off road" part off...

 

I have no experience with this, but I have comprehensive/full insurance coverage and the deductible is about the cost of that armor. Rather take my chances and if I have to go through that I will. To each their own!

 

You folded some of the decal that's why you removed it, isn't it?

haha, no i didn't fold it. but when i was done i stood back to make sure the decal was on straight and noticed the "A" in "road" was missing!? i was cutting the backing off as i was placing the decal on and evidently when i peeled and cut the backing that had "road" on it the "A" came off with it. i kinda like it better the way it is. i might even peel off all the little pieces around the letters and numbers that give it a 3d effect too...

The plate only costs $300..all the mods I see in this TW thread its probably not a large amount of money for most tacoma owners and good luck getting your insurance to pay for an OEM cat is what I was told by a friend who owns a repair shop..to each their own.Was just showing that there is an option out there for individuals who live in an area where this is happening frequently

Yeah, I saw the $300 price, that's about what my deductible is. I will ask for more info about this insurance process tomorrow; my reference is my mother who works for an insurance company FWIW.
It does seem like a solid solution, especially for those who live in areas where this kind of thing is common/increasing.

 

Took a drive out to Vegas this morning and picked up a new RTT and awning from CVT

 

Really hoping to get my ARB awning from 4Wheel Parts sometime in the near future. Been waiting more than a month for an item they advertise as ready to ship, 3-5 day delivery to store.
