    Hi !

So it was time to get rid of my Xterra and here I am waiting on my first Toyota.
Up front: I bought this thing blind. Had to come from the factory. No one wanted to negotiate so I pretty much paid full pop for it. Should be here mid September. Apparently no one likes manual transmissions.

Some questions if anyone has any feedback.
    1) what exactly is "Premium Sound" ?
My Xterra had a killer sound system I hope I don't have to upgrade.
    2) Any comments on the clutch? Stiff? loose?
    3) I paid up for the intake and exhaust upgrade.... was that worth it? Still time to cancel that.

Thanks in advance for any comments.
I'm excited to pick this thing up.

I'm not sure actually. 6 speed manual. Whatever comes with it.

    1) you will probably want to upgrade, the Subaru OEM Kicker Tweeters are plug and play, and is usually good enough for most people after that. I test drove a Pro-4X frontier and the RF sound system was much better than the tacoma.

    2) not sure how the xterra is but I would consider the tacoma clutch as stiff, stiffer than a Mazda b3000, much stiffer than most cars. You will develop a squeak in the pedal too (its normal).

    3) I would cancel, but just my 2 cents, I don't have them to speak on performance gains, but but I'm sure it's negligible.

    4) You should've tested drove first......

There isn't one to be found. I'm not picky to be honest. I just want to sell my Xterra. It's getting a little old. 11 yrs. 260K

I read a lot of good things about Tacomas.

So you must be from Canada, the truck you spec out is only available in Canada. You guys get the best combo, Off Road, Access Cab, 6speed manual transmission.:jellydance::jellydance::jellydance:

    1. The sound system is decent, but could use an upgrade.

    2. I find the clutch is stiffer than most manual transmission vehicles I’ve driven. It is also pretty sensitive. I’m 45k miles in and it’s still rather stiff. Took a little getting used to, but feels much more solid than other vehicles.

    3. I would probably cancel the intake and exhaust upgrade, but that’s just me. I don’t feel like you get much of a performance upgrade for the money.

Congrats on your purchase! I think you’ll love it.
