So I know this is an obsessive compulsive thing but I also know I’m in good company here. So…
Lifted the truck with AAL to rear. It sat with a almost an 1” higher in rear. Wanted level but I figured whenever I load the back she’ll be level and not sag. Well after I got a shell she said dead nutz level. BUT NOW when I load tools she sits with a max of 1/2” rear sag. No one notices but me. I was wondering if a add 2-4PSI to the rear
To cover that 1/2” will that cause any issues if any. Not sure if with the extra weight of the shell plus tools if I should be adding a couple of psi anyways. 4D79EBE7-59D1-4C2F-957C-0EE7F3A863A1.jpg

Changing the tire pressure won’t change the appearance at all. If you want to address sagging rear suspension that is too low for your taste for a given weight, then AALs, leafs or lift blocks are your options.

    edit: or airbags.

Ok well it’s not THAT important I guess. I a low tire can add sag so I figured a more psi might add that 1/2” in the back with extra weight. I already have the AAL. thanks though

Add a 1/2" block and call it a day. Ride wont suffer at all.

Tire pressure is the wrong tool to level the truck. Doing that will cause your tires to wear unevenly. Airbags would be an easily adjustable solution.

    To equalize tire deflection, sure.
    Ride height...no.

I highly doubt a few PSI Will change your ride height by 1/2 inch. Whatever you get will be unnoticeable to the naked eye. And you’ll end up with a stiffer ride, change in wear pattern on your tires, etc.

Either take the advice of the member above who suggested 1/2” spacers, or maybe a few therapist sessions for OCD? Whichever is cheaper of course.

What the hell is going on in that first pic? The gas tank door is on the wrong side, TRD decal & Tacoma badge are backwards? Looks like someone photoshopped driver's side of car on passenger side. Second pic is debadged and gas tank door disappeared.

    I can relate... :D

My guess is OP didn’t have a before and after from the same side so he flipped the top pic which was taken from the driver’s side, and happens to have debadged since then.

Yep you nailed it. Flipped back...

I'm not even going to get in to the white balance issue between the 2 pics where it appears to be two different colors of paint

Hey I'm just living up to your words about the OCD thing. :)

I just noticed the gas tank was on the wrong side so it threw me for a loop. Was interesting to see how photo software auto corrects an image when flipping. I was also just joking about the white balance thing, didn't mean it as a criticism. I was just pointing out how far the OCD thing can go if we really let it go

I don't think changing ride height by adding air to tires is the correct way to go, but if it works for you, rock on.

It's just your OCD. Not only does it look fine, but it's normal to sag with weight in the back. That's why the Taco's come stock with Taco lean.
