Decided to sell my Rav4 and get back into the Tacoma World. Honestly really missed the community, and frankly felt like I wasn't ready for anything like I did when I had my 2016 SR5. Its exciting to be back. Say hello to my new 2021 SR 2.7 4x4!

First mod plans are a tow hitch and tow wiring, rear recovery point and skid plate.

Oh I'm sure that will be in the works. Lots of guys selling take offs from their ORs and Pros down here. I don't want to go too big this time as I know the motor has its challenges with even the stock 245s. I'm gonna need a skid asap since I won't be doing too much of a lift either.

Gratzs on the truck … but I’m dumbfounded on how people are purchasing these trucks at current market prices .

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Leave the stock size tires. Been there and congrats!

Post back about what you end up doing with wheels/tires. I bought the same truck in May and want to keep the car tires + steelies for normal driving/good MPG. But I want to get a second set with more aggressive A/T tires for trips, but not so heavy that it makes it a total dog and kills the MPG. Hopefully I will find a set of lighter take-off alloys to balance out the heavier tires.

I am thinking about the Firestone Destination XT since it only weighs 39 lbs in 245/75-16 (BFG KO2 in the same size is 48 lbs).

    upload_2021-8-22_13-45-18.jpg

I wouldn't have paid a markup but was okay paying MSRP minus a $500 rebate at the end of May before things got super crazy. It was $31,068 - $500 rebate + $199 doc fee.

We saved up all of the gov't stimulus and put $3k down and the other $2k toward sales tax (I bought out of state so had to pay it at the DMV).

I got this SR for almost the exact same price I payed for my 2016 SR5, not accounting for inflation. The main reason I was able to do this is because my Rav4 was highly sought after. (2021 Rav4 TRD Offroad)

Looks like it has the same Firestone Destination LE2 that mine came - they are surprisingly okay for an OEM tire.

OK. Cool. Pick a nice rim but run those tires until the steel belts are sticking out of them

Yeah, I was honestly pleasantly surprised with the way these tires handled the mud and sand that I put them through on Saturday. I'm trying to take it easy for the time being until I put the rear diff snorkel on.
