my truck went into production on the 13th, pretty excited as it's been a protracted process. What's the typical time from production to delivery? 3 weeks?

 

No telling and that’s if it went into production on the 13th. Is that what the dealer originally said or was this an update. Mine was scheduled for production on the 9th and sales rep sent a screen shot showing that it got bumped to the 19th.

Also you can check the temp vin and when that stops working it should mean it’s out of production and have a permanent vin. You can check that on Toyota’s website. Also depending on location it could take 2+ weeks. I would say closer to 3-4 but the only one who will really know is your dealer when they check it’s status.

 

Once mine hit the production phase it was done being built within the week. It took another 9 weeks to get it delivered to me.

So the moral of the story is don’t hold your breath

I'm in the SF Bay Area. Original date was 8/4, pushed to the 12th updated from dealer on 8/13 that it went to production.

I just went to Toyota website and it looks like you can't select manual transmission for 2021 any more.

Is yours being built a manual LR?

 

nah it's an auto. I already have 2 manual cars, mixed feelings about the auto but I think I'll get over it.

 

MT is still available for me.

looks like the temp vin disappeared. I'm trying to not reach out to the dealer too much lol. I had a truck lined up in montana but at the last minute they wouldn't sell it to me so I trust nothing until I have the keys.

 

Finally. Placed my deposit April 23 hoping to get it allocated and it finally came. Wasn’t expecting the call since they said it was delayed until the 19th to start production. Traded in my 2019 Pro.
