TEC Minden Newbie Run || August 21, 2021

My plan was to join everyone this weekend but I won’t be able to make it now. Just had a baby and I’m bringing her home tomorrow or Saturday! Have fun everyone! Count me in for the next trip

Alright everyone! One more day till the newbie run! Just a few things that I forgot to mention that may be good to know.

- Everyone should have front and rear recovery points (hitch in the rear and the stock tow hook in the front work).

-don’t worry if you do not have recovery gear, between everyone in the group we should have enough.

-we are meeting for 10am at the shell. We will gas up and then proceed to the trail. If you are running late, please try to let us know. The day is flexible, no stress.

-the trail should take 4-5 hours I am thinking with the amount of trucks. That’s going to be 2-2.5hrs in and 2-2.5hrs out with a lunch break in there somewhere. Pack accordingly (water, food, etc).

-this is a newbie run so please feel free to ask questions, ask for help, and ask for a spot. There is going to be some more experienced drivers there who you can lean on for help. Remember, you are driving your vehicle so do what you are comfortable with.

-lastly is tools. Most of us have tools but if you have special wheels that require a wheel lock, or an odd install that requires a special tool, consider bringing it (if it is something that is needed). Nothing worst then having to do a trail repair and not having the right tool.

we will go over some general stuff while airing down before hitting the trail (if you don’t have a compressor we can help you with that). We will be using two way radios (if you don’t have one, I’m sure people will have extras).

Planning on meeting there for 630 and leaving at 645 sharp to make it for 10am at the shell.
