I got the speedform throttle controller, glad I did too,, the lag I had before hitting the gas was getting very annoying,, I will be doing a review in a couple more weeks after I have really tested it out.

But I have a question regarding using this durning towing... should I turn it off and use the trucks factory ECT button,, can I use sport mode and ECT, should I only use a particular mode and not use the ECT, ect... whats the best rule of thumb ? The instructions for the speed controller says nothing in regards to this.

You shouldn't have any problems with this throttle response controller durning towing or any special operating modes due to this controller purpose specifics. It's only works with delays of the accelerator pedal and has not re-configure engine operation parameters, like fuel/air ratio, gearbox shift parameters which are usually important for towing mode. So you can use it for your reasons as well.

Thanks for the reply.. I am not disagreeing with you but at the same time I am not sure I totally agree either, in today's engines they are so controlled by computers that they control the amount of fuel and air along with what gear to use even down to the amount of spark needed. This controller has 5 settings with 9 sub-settings, if it was just a simple adjuster to the speed the throttle responds to me pushing the peddle I would be in total agreement, but driving the same road on a daily basis I can clearly see a difference on how the truck changes gears, and I feel a difference in power from economy to normal to sport.

When I am in normal mode and half gas with tach at 4k then switch to sport same RPM I can feel more pull,, so not sure how I can feel the difference with the same gear and throttle if it's not effecting the air fuel in even a small amount.. also going down hills in sport or normal I can tap the break and the truck will shift down, In a sense trying to help maintain speed and help the brakes, but if I am in economy mode it never shifts down,, which means it is controlling the gear box.

All this leads back then to my original question, I truly feel it is changing how the computer works the throttle in tandem with the gear box and MAYBE the fuel air ratio , so what is the best combination or lack of to use for towing my camper?
