Yeah that seems to be the best theory to me. I read through a bunch of threads when I first got my cap and that was basically what a lot of people were saying.
TFL Truck just did a segment on this exact thing on youtube, I’ll find a link.

Just found this, it’s a pretty cool video too

:pccoffee: Good Morning SA! Last mask and paint day around the coping! Seems like forever, but I just started Friday. OK, Thursday I cleaned tile. At least I get some more water back in today so it's easier to hold the edge in the deep end!

I hadn’t seen that wind tunnel one before, that was a cool visual.

Reminds me of the Shelby Daytona something or other where they decided to cut off the tail end of it real abruptly and everybody thought they were nuts and it was ugly. Turns out it eliminated wind drag or turbulence I think.
Details are a little hazy, I read it a long time ago.

The fastback cap versus the squared off cap made me think of that.

Good mornin gents! I’ve been practicing my welding this weekend. Bought some aluminum from Home Depot and made a license plate frame to replace my heavy, rusty, low hanging steel one. I started out building a basic frame out of some flat bar and angle. But the first iteration was trying to move around some so I added some more support.

EDIT: Well, crap! I read the wrong can - epoxy primer you have to add coat in 24 hours. The paint has to cure "72 hours above 75*". The paint was still tacky, and taking the tape off was messy - so it goes on hold at least until tomorrow.....

Same, lots of weekend work right now with work, hoping next weekend is the last of it for a spell but we shall see. Slow on the home front as have not had the time to get it done. I am planning on getting them going as would like a couple things buttoned up before fall.
