Hello I had a question about the pre collision system on the new Tacoma I live in the country and drive on dirt roads I was wondering if the system will activate if I'm trying to pass an oncoming vehicle That would get annoying if my truck breaks every time I try to pass someone Thank you

I’ve never had an issue with that happening…my TSS has only activated when the vehicle in front of me is braking hard and very abruptly. I’ve passed a fair amount of cars on 2 lane roads and never had my TSS activate.

Yeah I didn't think it would have any problems with 2 lane highways I just didn't know about side roads where I live I would barely consider some of these dirt roads as two lame but 2 people still pass at about 35

My truck doesn't have TSS but l assume the automatic braking only works below a certain speed.

it shouldn’t be an issue…mine has literally only come on twice since I’ve had the truck and it was when the person in front of me abruptly dropped probably 30mph because of an issue in front of them that I couldn’t see.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
It has only been activated twice in the 8 months I've owned my '21 TRD OR. Both times it was just the warning light & sound - no braking. It was activating because I was swerving around someone making a left turn and I waited until the last possible moment to initiate the swerve. Never did hit the brake.

only if you get too close to someone while passing. just don't tailgate like an asshole and you'll be fine.
