Went and checked out the last option I liked (gm was too basic, not a ram guy, tundra is awesome but no single cab and drank gas), a single cab ford today. 5.0, 10 speed. I liked it, but the quality made me question it. Made me wonder: Am I gonna be dealing with this thing burning oil for the next 2 years? The biggest upgrade was the power and the 8 foot bed, but imo, if my Taco w/ airbags doesn't tow well enough, I'm gonna jump up to a 250 or 2500hd and buy a civic or something small for a daily. So, not jumping ship for now, I really do love this taco.

Have you driven any tundras to see the gas mileage? I've talked to a guy who owned 2-3 different Tundras said their fuel mileage was comparable to mine.

Yeah, I had one as a demo when I was working at Toyota. 17 l/100km combined vs 13 in my taco. Probably comes down to driving style.

Probably, the guy I talked to said he gets mid 13s but I think he does a lot of highway.

That would make sense since that's about what I was seeing on the highway.

Check out my coil-overs on my habitat mower at work…..Four of them on the back of my machine as well as eight aircraft tires. Tires are super tough I had a blown tire the other day and I kept on working with one tire down out of the eight they don’t even flex. Hawthornes are tough on tubes.

I'm in Caledon but I'll drive wherever (within reason, obviously not like 20 hours)
