    Good morning.

My air conditioner has always worked perfectly until yesterday. Settings 1-3 blow barely any air with no change being made between flipping the switch to the higher power. When I put the air on full blast it works perfect. It doesn't make a difference wether its just the outside air or A/C. Any suggestions on how to fix this or what the problem could be? thanks!!

Do a web search, there are literally hundreds of posts about this. Replace the blower and the module connector thing and you're good to go.

It is the blower motor resistor.
Check the connection on it and the blower motor for signs of melting or over heating. If so, replace the connector too.

It is a common occurrence with these truck. Nothing to get too worried about.
It happens, it can be fixed relatively cheap. And all is good to go:thumbsup:

Agrred with TnShooter Mine did this and was only the connector. Easy fix and even easier to test. Simply select one of the non-working speeds and reach down under the glove box and wiggle the connector to see if the fan comes on. I'd bet many just jump right into replacing motor or resistor when all they need to do is clean and slightly crimp the female contacts.

Does anybody know if there is a better fix? I am about to replace the resistor for the second time in roughly a year. Now this may have been my buddy's fault as he was in the passenger seat and stretched his legs out and the blower went from the medium setting to high with out touching the nob. I jiggled it and it fixed itself for a month or two and now it works only on high so I guess it is time to change the resistor.

Did you try the connector again? I had to crimp the female connections on the plug to permanently fix mine. When I say "crimp" I mean take a tiny screwdriver or pick and insert in the plug and slightly bend to shrink the opening of the connector.

You can also unplug the resistor, and replace, about 10 times. Cleans the contact points a bit, I've done mine twice in the last 4 months. Parts ready, but it still runs.
