    COOL Stuff I can't afford . . . But I bought anyway!
Hi all, I just traded my '17 2x4 OR for a 2019 Pro. YEEE! However, I want to stuff some larger tires in those fenders.

I had a lift selected for my '17, but I know the suspension is significantly different for the Pro's. What are some things to look out for when lifting the Pro? What are my options w/o going full tilt suspension. I'm looking 2-3" of lift front and rear.

I know I'm going to get chastised for posting this, as I'm sure there is a thread somewhere, but I just can't find it after 3 hours of scanning different threads.

I appreciate any and all help and advice.

    Cheers!

    My New Obsession!

I have 285/75/16s on my all stock pro and they fit great, even stuffed. Unless you wanna go bigger then a 33 no need for any lift. Just use the stock rims and get a good alignment.

The only difference on the pro is the shocks. Any lift for third gen will work. Unless you’re trying to keep the pro components. I think eibach has a spring to raise the front but would probs still need longer rear shocks

Look into the Westcott designs for your lift. That’s what I’m running on my Tacoma pro and love it

Thanks @Jes963. I’ll look into them. I see that name popping up a lot on the other forums. Is the rear lift from them just a block kit?

    Stock-ish
Trade it back in for a 4x4 OR, and spend the extra cash on whatever lift you want

Well, while that sounds like the smart move, I got this truck for a steal. $45k with only 13k miles + the extended warranty. And they gave me $30k for my OR, which was paid off. So, I’ve still got the money to throw at the Pro badge.

So my question becomes, because I see the names floating around, OME springs or Eibach? Is one better than the other?

I’m a total newb to this lift stuff and have always had sports cars. I know the basics, but for the differences in the small details I’m lost. Looking to all you guys here that have had the experience.
    Thanks

You have a couple different options.

your truck stock has a bit different suspension than the other build options like a trd sport etc

However anything aftermarket is going to be the same.

I am a dealer for both Icon and Radflo and would be more than happy to help you with whatever you need.

Costwise, Icon is going to be the most cost effective as it will come with every component together. For example, leaf springs, UCA’s and shocks.

but the lift you decide on really depends on what your long term plans are with the truck as well. Please let me know if you have any questions and I can help you as much as possible!

If you follow that link, Eibach makes coils specific for the trd pro

@bluelinetaco With the Westcott Kit it gives you about a 3 inch lift total with the fox suspension if you switch it out you still get about a 3 inch lift with the aftermarket oh and if I would go aftermarket I would go with kings

@bluelinetaco and yes the back is a block if you plan to add Weight in the back like a tent and stuff like that go with AAL

I can vouch for the Eibach springs. I added a TRD Pro suspension on my OR along with the springs, Icon AAL and 33s. A perfect amount of lift and with the 33s it looks/rides great.

Definitely recommend westcott lift, which is a perch lift. Here's a video to explain.
Hope this helps! Don't forget an AAlL or replace the leaf springs for proper height. I did 2 ¾ front and 3' in the rear. Perfect height and clearance for 285/75/16s.. I can add a pic on request.. good luck!
