First couple years I put a little over 40k on mine, was driving it a lot more then...longer work commute and way more trips on weekends.

    Since 2020 I think I average 300 miles a month now lol.

same shit here haha, I only commute ~10 miles to work and back now. However the slug is our travel rig and errand runner, (where most of the miles come from now) bc her mini uses 91 octane lol

Got a long work commute? That's what I was doing when I was about 15 miles from work plus all the weekend wheeling trips which were sometimes 100+ miles in one day to get there and home.

Man I'd be spending so much on gas right now if I were doing that, yikes

Same. I'm looking to upgrade my daily but it's been real hard finding a 30+ mpg Toyota that is also manual. Everything is auto.

I got the 99 seven years ago at 193k, I think it’s sat at 28Xk since last September.

Got the 02 three years ago at 204k and it turn 260k this week. Barely drove it this summer with it being broken/ in the garage and the work truck.

Maybe an old Celica? I don't know if they were 30+mpg though. Could probably find a Scion tC or something with a manual pretty easily. Both my old manual tCs got ~25mpg iirc, so not quite 30. Was basically a Camry with 2 doors lol. Same engine.

old celica would be nice, but prolly really hard to not find a clapped out one. better bet would be the tc unless he gets lucky

I also want a white one. If I could get a 6th gen celica or 1st gen Scion I'd go for that. I'm also holding out to see if the GR Yaris coupe will make an appearance.

The only thing that sucked about the 1st gen tC's was the rear hatch handle piece would break off if you looked at it wrong. Literally every one of them you see still on the road these days either has it taped on, or it's a different color from another car. Toyota never issued a TSB or anything on it either which was BS.

Still though, I traded that one in with over 150k miles and never an issue with it other than that.

Best bet would be the GR Corolla, should be summer 2022. That’s what I’m waiting for, will be my first and probably only brand new car purchase.

68mi round trip commute. It's only 30mins each way because traffic here isn't a thing and it's all highway miles. But yeah, still a bit of a drive when you owns trucks and SUVs. In the winter I am a god amongst men though, I just tear up the unplowed lanes at full speed like my own personal lane.
