    The 4 cyl. and 6 cyl. AC60 differ in the number of friction plates used in the clutch packs; they're not all the same.

    Flex lock torque converter is not new. AFAIK, it's been around at least 15 years.

    Deceleration torque converter engagement is flex lock, not full lock.

    What has changed: less clutches, no one-ways, fewer solenoids, solenoids are linear direct control and reverse is accomplished through two brakes clutches instead of a driven clutch and brake clutch.
