The best car I ever bought was a 1993 Ford Taurus I found at a garage sale for $500--the owner mistakenly believed it needed a water pump when a belt tensioner was the issue. Drove it 50,000 miles and sold it for $1,500. The second best car I've ever owned is the 2002 Toyota Tacoma I now have. It's nothing fancy--2.7 four cylinder, no options except AC. I do not mind crank windows. The only issue I've had is that I keep needing to put gas in it. Otherwise, it has, knock on wood, proven bulletproof. It's at 165K now, with half the miles put on by me. I'm here because I want to install catalytic converter protection, and so I've posted the appropriate question (I hope) in the appropriate (I hope) thread.

    Thanks.

welcome. It's sad that people are looking for "catalytic converter" protection, but I get it. A co-worker of mine had his stolen recently and they're not cheap to replace. Hope you figure out a way to prevent the theft.
