Ready to buy a canopy but having a hard time choosing between the Leer XL or the ARE Z canopy for my long bed. Any one here own either one of these? If so can you please tell me the pro's and con's of the one you own. Which one you get and why? The must have features are keyless entry, removable front slider, pop out vent windows & LED lighting. Would love to have opening side windows but they don't make them keyless. Thanks for any feedback.

I do not have experience with ARE but I am not happy with Leer. I received my canopy a month back. It took them 12 weeks which I understand given all the Covid nonsense and shortages of glass etc. They sent my topper with all sorts of strange blotches in the paint that neither two body shops could figure out as well as paint drips they made a feeble attempt at wet sanding/polishing. The trim around the a window is bulged and missing a gap where the ends meet. The local Leer dealer were shocked by how evident the issues were and Leer's attempts at trying to fix it. I have now been to a body shop at Leer's direction to get a quote so it can be removed from my truck, disassembled, painted correctly and then reassembled and re-installed. Honestly they could have just taken an extra week to repaint it and sent me a nice product. Whomever gave the green light for it to be shipped out deserves a good beating. The canopy itself is nice and I am happy with it. This however is proof that cutting corners will only come back to bite them.

There was a recent post regarding a review by a member regarding the top 3.....ARE, Leer and Snug Top.
The Snug Top won overall because of heavier re-enforcement at the Hinge area, more bolts per Hinge, a better and stronger roof reinforcement and the top overlaps the truck Bed Box better allowing water to run off better. Also they use better seals.
None of these are cheap, so it's a serious investment. Based on what that member found in his review, my money is on the SnugTop.
