Maybe some offroad tires for the unimog and alvis?

tossed a couple other in to, that jeep had some serious kid play, mud and tires look like hundreds of miles... i can just picture myself making car noises and tire screaching.

In the end they are yours and you can do what you want. I don’t buy mine to resell but the last one, rock buster I think it’s called? Leave that one alone too.

That Avlis was a BP exploration, white and stickers, was thinking i would be going for a "german/eastern bloc paint scheme. Did have a heavy blue enamel, kid paint. Der.
Noticed how these old Matchbox are actually really cool.
Some of these have independent suspension, Hot wheels not so much.

Bobby Issacs KK Insurance Dodge Charger. This kit started as a Polar Lights model but the body was so poorly done I opted to to replace it with a better stock Monogram shell which required alot of mods and cutting. Its one of the few Nascar kits I held on to. The wheels were painted semi gloss and then highlighted with a red Sharpie. The gold 37 Ford was mini tubbed to get those big wheels to fit.The 61 Impala was bashed with a Pro Stock 82 Camaro kit that didnt come out well.december 2020 4 018.jpg december 2020 4 019.jpg december 2020 4 048.jpg december 2020 4 060.jpg december 2020 4 061.jpg

So did i ruin this TNT Bird?
Hit it with a dremmel buffer with no.25031 polishing compound and some Meguires Cleaner Wax to finnish it off.

I like it. If it’s the green one you posted earlier than no I don’t think you ruined it.

You do good work Moody! The more you post the more I want to start building models again. Has to be at least 40 years since I built one.

Maybe a week ago I had PM @RLMoody about a show called Steve Magnante’s super models. ( on MotorTrend ) he builds some cool custom models. After watching tonight’s episode, The little red wagon. I thought I would recommend it to everyone on here. I have a lot of projects going on right now but I will build models again someday.

Building models can be rewarding if everything goes right. It can be costly if they don't. Some kit manufacturers like Monogram / Revell are usually easy to build and everything goes together well. AMT is decent most of the time and the Japanese kits seem to be really good. MPC to me is crap and Moebius looks really nice but always seems to have mold issues and parts wont fit properly. I just gave up on a 65 F100 build because nothing seemed to fit , I put it away for another day. Also barely got through a Grumpys Toy Vega by MPC that the floor boards and interior were not even close to lining up. Out came the saw. It fits now. Decals were also crap and broke apart, I was lucky I could repaint them instead and even impressed myself with how it came out in spite of everything.
I use automotive spray paint and clearcoats most of the time but use rattle can $1.99 Walmart paint for the blacks and silvers. Bare metal foil really makes a difference for the trim as well.
For someone just starting out id say try building a few snap together kits and practice on those. August 14th I posted a snap kit I had done that I converted into a Pro Street 57 Belair.
Ive been doing them since I was 8 or 9. Anyone needing advice I'm here. I've done several diecasts recently as well including Hot Wheels. Still learning there and sometimes need advice.
