All the information needed is in the original post and can be easily duplicated without purchasing anything

Thus the reason I posted it

When I made the first set I simply measured where the tent needed to be and used the trig calculator app on my phone to find the angle from the mounting rail. I used 4 pcs of 3x5 angle 8" long and with 1.750 tubing it needs to be at the bottom of the 5" side of the angle with the tubing bend at approximately the tent mounting rail. The tent needs to end up at approximately 1.5"-2" above the bed rail.

This is the best picture I have to show the area needed for the topper to fold.

The tent needs to be low enough to fit under the topper but higher than the bed rail so it doesn't crush the topper frame.

Has anyone made a list of RTT’s that would fit under a softopper?

I'm no longer making these to ship. If you are local to Gastonia Nc then feel free to contact me for any welding or fabrication needs. Local work only, No Shipping.

Does anyone have a measurement of the space between the bed and bottom of a rack that would hold a RTT?

Boom. Thanks. Just needed to make sure something like that would fit.

I’m assuming an XL RTT wouldn’t fit? Or is it the same footprint as the bed? Anyone know that lol

Sorry to revive this thread, but I wanna go this route with my bestop. Did you or anyone else ever accomplish this on a 3rd gen with a Bestop? If so, can I get a pic and source of the rails used??

Finally did a thing. The Bestop holds down just fine, but does get in the way of the tent being able to lay flat, so I've gotta either get some bars that'll lift the tent slightly higher for clearance, or just take the pin out and fold the top over the cab.

It's sitting on 2 flat bars that are flush with the bed's height. I'm actually looking for some new bars that are about 4" taller so that the tent can't clear the bestop when it's folded down.
