Everything I've read points to you being right about the these being a significant enhancement. But am I wrong that you loose the under bed spare mount? If so, a significant "con for use". At least for some of use.

If you use the cross bar brace you do lose the ability to carry a spare below the bed. It sounds like even without the brace it's a noticeable improvement.

you lose the spare mount only if you also install the crosstube that ties the hangers together. this is optional. i kept my spare for almost two years with the Hammer hangers on, then i finally relocated the spare and added the tube. the lion's share of benefits come from the hangers. the tube just takes it to the next level.

Installed the silver bumper caps from Ebay. They're not too bad at all, overall happy with them. Lighting makes the color look off but theyre good to me...People who want to know the link is below.

looks so much better. Just my opinion but I don’t know why one would want that part of the bumper chrome. Does not suit the flow of the vehicle.

Mine's chrome, along with the front grille and rear "TACOMA" tailgate inserts. I like it. :boink:

Today I got rid of the clutch accumulator. The clutch feels more natural now. I will get a few more kilometers on it over the next few weeks and obtain an informed opinion.

It's some panel push clips. I drilled holes through the front cover and into the white bumper panel that it connects to. The tabs it normally attaches with were broken off so I used these push clips to keep a semi factory look to reattach the bumper cover.

This was my bumper after the bears had their way and I didn't want to use tape or normal screws because it doesn't look as clean.

loaded the last of the boxes from moving in 9 years ago. now they are in the bed in the rain, under my softopper. experiment to see how well it keeps the water out. thinking of getting fog lights next, I'm pre-wired for it, but still nervous about the wire work that needs to get done for the switch

    Nice solution.
I might have started with trying some 3M double stick tape, but what you did certainly seems to work.

No one who isn't a Taco owner would recognize the push pins as not being stock.

Also, I agree, I hate it when bears tear my bumper off. It happens sooooo often. :).

I started with the double sided tape but the tolerances aren't tight enough between the body panels. It's also not a large flat surface as you can see in the attached picture, it has a lot of bumps, holes, and recesses. It works for about a week at a time before the rain and vibrations/ air flow start to pull it apart.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
For those looking for a Mini 3rd gen the New Ready to Run RC is now available. Had to get one for my collection of Mini Tacos and add a few mods. Not bad for out of the box ready. Slightly smaller than my Minime.
