I'm glad to have found this forum. I see it has tons of good information and looks very well organized. Im a new 2021 Tacoma Limited owner and I'm looking forward to share with you my experiences as I become familiar with the truck. I'm looking to purchase a cover for the bed of the truck and I have to decide if I should go with the factory tri fold hard cover or some other brand.. so far I love the truck.

    Welcome!

I preferred a 3rd party cover because I think you have to cut into the plastic bed rail caps to install the OEM one. I’ve since switched to a GFC so I’m glad I didn’t have to swap the caps.

Hello hello. Finally a place for us n00bs! First time Taco owner. 21 Army Green OR DCSB. I wanted to camp in my bed - I'm not as much a fan of RTTs or shells and discovered SofTopper/Bestop. Knew it was the right choice for me! 6,000 miles with the new truck and topper...no regrets. About to head out to Colorado/New Mexico this week. I can't get over how great these toppers are in every condition. And the truck, of course lol.

Pardon my scrap lumber bed and "liberated" grocery store basket nightstand (doubles as kindling collector).

I have the "soft top" tri-fold. Holds up well in the winter, and easily removes if you need the box. Even fits in the back seat.
