Advice for crack in Leer 180

Does anyone have any advice/experience dealing with small cracks like this? It originated from where the rear light cutout is. Leer 180 shell, approximately 8 years old I believe. I got it 3 years ago.

I'm guessing something like drilling a hole at the end of the crack to stop it, and filling it with some kind of fiberglass?

 

Are you sure it’s not just the paint?

 

I'm honestly not sure. Any good way to tell? I can definitely "hang a fingernail" on it, but there's insulation on the inside, so I would have to figure out how to remove that to see for sure. I guess the real question is: Is it something that I should be concerned about and dealing with in a timely manner? If it's just paint I can seal it and move on, but if it's a crack that will propagate, I feel like I need to do something.
