So, I’m sitting in a bar, nursing a beer and watching the 10 o’ clock news. A story came on about a man threatening to jump off a building.
The guy on the stool next to me lays a 20 dollar bill on the bar.
“I bet twenty bucks the guy jumps”
I said “Okay, you’re on”
Well, the guy jumped to his death. I pulled out my wallet to pay my debt but the guy stopped me.
“Nah man, keep your money. I saw this earlier on the 6 o’ clock news.”
I said “No, take it. I saw it earlier too. I didn’t think he’d be dumb enough to do it again.”

 

I’m no joke writer but I guess I do get a little creative in converting ones that might be considered racist or something into something less offensive. I’m of Irish Catholic descent so I tend to blame us a lot. We are normally too drunk to know we’re offended.
