I know we have different generation trucks but when I read your post, I noticed the similarities too. I’ve read where our rotors tend to warp easily, especially when hot and ran through cold water. No grooves in my rotors though, as of last week. I’ll upgrade to some slotted (not drilled) rotors and akebono ceramics once I go through these pads and get the bead balance done at the same time. I’ve been tolerant of the vibration but this truck is still under 50k miles and on original pads. :anonymous:

Oh I meant everything on it was upgraded by previous owner. Bought 6k miles ago.

Good luck. Let us know what you find out if you get the problem solved.

Met with another mechanic. He said it's no doubt the front rotors. Adjusted my rear brakes, saying that it should have been done when they were resurfaced my front rotors, and they've warped extremely fast because they've been taking the full load and rear brakes have been doing a very small amount of the load.

Said they can be resurfaced one more time, but that he recommends at this point to just replace with new rotors. Getting a quote from my buddy with a toyota account.

My truck now stops much more quickly, distance to press on the pedal is much shorter, and parking brake only clicks a few times.

Will report back if once the rotors are replaced, the shaking is 100% eliminated or not.
