it's a custom roof rack that mounts to the frame under the bed. the frame has been reinforced so that the rack can handle about 600 pounds. we have had up to 3 people sitting up there to watch the desert races

My 01 Taco 3.4 TRD just turned 235K and does not burn a drop of oil. Still has the OEM fuel pump. Reliability is legendary but should I be concerned, proactive and replace it or just let it ride?

I was wondering while returning from a 50 mile trip on a Forest Road along treeline

Mine went out just under 250,000. It sucked cuz it went out on our way to Disneyland. Thankfully traffic was so bad that we were on the street and able to pull over. Can't imagine what that would have been like on the highway with traffic whizzing by at 70mph. I am at 380,000 now and considering proactively swapping it out at my next major tuneup at 450,000 if it doesn't go out by then as I had some random shop nearby swap it out.

My 2000 Prerunner has 250k . No issues at all just normal maintenance like brakes, plugs etc. I change the oil every 3k miles. Uses no oil and has no leaks. Best truck I have ever owned.

Bought my way into the club. Previous owner got scared when he saw the 2 and traded it in at 207. '97 with a newer face from a donor.

327k miles on my’98 Taco 4x4. Over 300k from first owner but he took great care of this truck and it still doesn’t have any leaks or use any oil. I lost a front wheel bearing and in the process of rebuilding and updating all the front end parts including JBA UCAs, King coil overs, rebuilt bearings/spindles from @zippsub9, new OEM steering rack, and all the other OEM parts. Should be good for another 300k+ miles once I’m done.

231k on mine. Just completely rebuilt the suspension/steering + a timing belt service. Got plans to pull some spare heads from PnP to rebuild them in prep for a SC.

New to Tacoma, bought an '01 SR5 Pre-runner supercab back in March 2021, with over 186,000 - love it! Was a one-owner, has lift kit and wide tires all around. I'm 66-yrs old, been averaging about 200-miles a month on this little rig. I live about a mile from where I work, so putting more miles on this little guy is no problem. Hope to be driving this until I can't drive at all!! Also have two sport motorcycles that are jealous of my new ride; but I let them out of the stables once in a while!
