My radio continues to cycle in and off to the point where it gets really annoying. It is cycling about once every three minutes!

is there a way to fix this? I’ve done the updates. I’ve done the contact updates. I have reserved, pulled the unit out and cleaned it with air. I had let it sit out and without power for a week, I have cycled the battery…. Nothing seems to work!!! Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

If I can’t fix this issue with the radio. Does anyone make a radio that works with XM (love my channel 24) can still get data from the vehicle (camera, tire pressure and miles) as well as maybe upgrade to working better with apple car play? Another issue I have is maps. I really like the offline maps. Are there substitute radios that can meet these requirements?

Way over stretching here (coming from aviation) can I send my radio to a facility that can rebuild it and fix the issue? Or are these more of a throw away item?

Sometimes people say that the SD card gets corrupted. Do you have navigation by chance? If so, pull out the card and see if your problem goes away.

I had that problem in my Tundra. It turned out to be the alternator. The built in voltage regulator had gone bad. I replaced it and has been good since. You can have it tested at Autozone

You guys are right! It’s the SD card. Now Why did this happen? I purchased the SD card new four months ago and it didn’t start acting up till last month. Can it be reformatted? I only have a MAC so I don’t know if I can reformat it with the software.

    Check build thread!
Take it to a reputable dealer, explain what happened, show it to them. They should help you out.

Where did you purchase it from? And I am not aware of any particular way to reformat.

Glad you figured it out. The SD card would be the last thing anyone would attempt to try because you wouldn't think an accessory that isn't required would cause reboots. But Toyota found a way.

I purchased the card from Amazon. I just checked and the listing is gone. I get this image: 37765305-A16F-4D3E-A53E-D0F500A3E7DD.jpg6B598686-6447-42F2-9593-3E7F5F35966D.jpg

From what I could find online, it's not possible to recover the SD card. People on other websites are saying that the content is encrypted to the serial of the card, and even if you happened to get a copy of the data from someone else, it would not work.

I could be wrong, but that's just what I found. I have not tested that myself.
