This might be a dumb question, but I am about to buy used 3rd Gen suspension (front and rear struts) but the coilovers are not included for $100. I want to install the “new” suspension from the 3rd Gen using my current coilovers from my 2nd Gen. My coilovers are only a couple years old because they were replaced when the frame was recalled.

My question is, are the 3rd and 2nd gen coilovers universal?

Aux back up lights, Bed lights, Re-located trailer plug, Good dooby, a.k.a. jumper cable mod, Heated seats, back up camera,
3rd gen coils are an inch taller. I believe you would risk the possibility of bottoming out the strut.
