I was having a daddy day with my little man, and he couldnt wait to get home to open up his latest nerf gun. So in slitting the packaging, like a moron I slipped and managed to put a gouge in the top of my grey TRD shift knob. I filled it with grey silicon but my engineers OCD lets me know that it will ALWAYS be there.

Any options for a replacement, and how do you pop the knob off?

It just screws right off, very easy to replace. And tons of options out there for replacements. I went with the Teton shifter knob.

The little vacuum metalized ring between the knob and the boot cloth?

Yes, it's a clip that attaches the boot to the knob.

starts at 20 second in. Only takes a few seconds to take off and put a new one one
