    Hey everyone!

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but I haven't been able to find anything on it in the forum. I have a 2012 Tacoma Baja, and I want to put on a 6" lift. I was looking at the Rough Country 6" lift, and it says specifically "Does not fit T/X Baja models". I wasn't aware that there was a big enough difference in the Baja version to make certain lifts fit or not.

Is there a 6" lift that works well with the 2012 Tacoma Baja model?

    Thanks!

I can’t imagine that edition or any edition would be any different from an SR to TRD in adding lift kits.

Yeah, I thought that was odd, too. This is what their website says, note it calls out the Baja model specifically:

    NOTES - IMPORTANT
    • Requires minor cutting and drilling.
    • Requires aftermarket wheels - Does NOT work with factory wheels.
    • Does NOT fit T/X Baja models.
    • Does NOT fit XSP-X models.
    • WILL fit 6-Lug Prerunner models.
    • Does NOT fit five lug models.

Nothing but bad reviews from Rough Country. That’s a huge downgrade from the Baja suspension. I’ve been down the rabbit hole of trying out different suspensions and our stock ones made me the most happy for my needs.

If you’re mind is set on a 6” lift, at least go with proper coilovers made for that height and avoid the spacers. Same for the rear, a full pack and not a huge block. Make sure your bump stops are set accordingly also.

Thanks. I agree with doing a proper suspension kit, and it seems Rough Country isn't the right one. Any suggestions on a vendor for that lift?
