I’ll say first that IM (and most companies) recommend removing the shocks before messing with them.
IM sells the tool linked below- https://ironman4x4america.com/foam-cell-pro-adjustment-and-service-tool/

I used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UYTHTQ. I had to use a bar on the end to get the lock nuts to move but it can be done. I would have gotten the IM tool if it was in stock when I needed it.

Yeah, it just seems more reasonable to adjust it when it's on, or atleast jack up the wheels and then adjust. Reading through this thread, it seems like most people needed to adjust afterwards. Thanks for the links!

Anytime. I jacked it up and removed the wheels/tires. I don’t think it would be possible to do without taking those off. I liked the height I had but the ride was too harsh and the cv boot fins were touching. After lowering it, rides better and fins not touching.

Awesome, good to know. That was definitely my plan. My problem now is I have my wheels being delivered on Monday and I thought the IM kit was coming in next week but it just got moved to October now. So I'll still probably have to wait to get the wheels on. I wouldn't mind going 265/70/17 now, but it might look too small after the lift so maybe I'll just wait and go 275/70/17 or 285/70/17 after the lift is installed. Most of the lift installs look pretty tall on this thread for smaller sized wheels.

Here is my grainy video of the stock bumps and the coil overs. The video is about 20 min long with the first 10 or so min the bump stock and the second half the shocks.
Spoiler, I never saw the bump stops make contact.
Went over speed humps from 20-30 MPH and at different approach angles. Enjoy- https://youtu.be/acW0AVsWUVY

Definitely gonna watch this video later when I get home as I've toyed with the idea of getting wheelers front bump stop. I believe they're a lot thicker than stock so I think they may make contact if an upgrade was to be made - not too sure though. If they do make contact that should help with the harshness a bit, shouldn't it? Thanks for recording and posting!

Sure thing, always fun to tinker and such. I would think so. I was interested in the Timbren (to match the rear) but they are not much larger than the stock. At least in the pics I’ve seen the appear similar in size. Mine might not make contact as there is not enough weight to compress the coils enough.
I think the super and duro are larger and would contact sooner. The new sumos are larger as well but they are blue…
What coils do you have? I think they should be my first step but I’m not going to make any changes till I get the sliders and put them on.

Here is where I put the camera for the bump stop part. For the shocks, I used one of the top fender liner screws. Luckily the whee didn’t stuff up in there and hit the camera lol.

Was riding with the wife today and talking about getting springs to see if it softens the ride and she looked at me like I was crazy and said she thinks it rides fine and find something else to buy…
So not that front bump stops are out (since there is no contact I can’t see a need) and springs are out, looking at a front skid or eBay special snorkel… though she might not like it when I tell her the snorkel needs a giant hole in the fender…

I got the 3" performance load spring. I've got sliders on my truck and a tube front bumper that I'm sure weighs less than 100lbs.

Have you seen this video? Looks like we can put spacers with the bumpstop to compensate for the lift.

This is the one the gave me the idea to record mine lol. It just didn’t look like with my normal street driving front bump stops will do me any good. I didn’t notice the spacers in the front but I’ll take another look. I know there are some for the back.
The front sumo springs are taller but blue…

The wedge would handle the snow better for sure, better wind protection too if you happen to park into the wind so it buffers off the hard top.

Like Walter Davidson said, If it can ride through Wisconsin clay it can ride down a city street, not the other way around.
I'd rather have tough than flashy.

Haha are you not a fan of the blue sumo due to color? I've got the wheelers superbump for the rear and honestly don't even think they make contact. I'm gonna call wheelers in the near future to see which spacer they recommend with my front lift. I'm gonna crank my coilovers up a smudge too as I know they've settled a bit since installation. Let me(us) know if you decide on upgrading bumps for the front.

Will do. I would not mind the blue but not with green springs. I have Timbren in the rear and know they’ve made contact. Maybe I should do a video of the rear too…

What springs do you have front/rear? I've got performance for both. It'll be interesting to see what the rear bumps do during normal road driving.

I have the performance in front and rear as well. The front I have the higher performance weight ones though. The 827# springs.
Next time I get time I’ll record it. That should be a good video as well.

So I'm looking at the clearance on this lift after installing it today. I don't rub and I'm thinking of running 315s/35s. Anyone else running this?

Also what spanner wrench for adjusting the suspension

Nice looking truck! I can’t help with the tires, I have 255/85/16s on mine. That said with enough trimming, cutting, bending and molding what you want could fit.
    Here is the wrench- https://ironman4x4america.com/foam-cell-pro-adjustment-and-service-tool/

Thanks buddy! I had a few 35s on my toyotas but every time I had enough clearance all that was needed was cmc. This one didn't get it quiet yet.

I thought there was an Amazon one that was cheaper? Or I may wrong?

There is this one- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UYTHTQ but with the 25% off right not the IM one is 60. The Amazon one does work and is the one I have but it is a loose fit on the shock. I’ve used it to lower the spring seat perch.
