Thinking about where to stop for dinner on the way home. The place we stopped at for years burnt to the ground.

yeah I thought about going for a little higher end components but then I realized my career choices and life aren’t very gentle on the ears so it’d be a slippery slope of what sounds how and what’s crisper and next thing I know All my other upgrade funds would be dried up! Are you going for an amp and sub as well or just the 6 speakers?

 

I need my eyes for work a little more than my ears, but I still need to be able to hear lol. But that's why I'm not building anything like I did when I was younger lol.
I have been slowly upgrading everything on the truck as it ages/fails lighting upgraded, Suspension upgraded, intake, exhaust, and other things. Now it is time to concentrate on the interior, I already got Wet Okele seat covers and I'm moving onto the stereo. Im noticing how little I use the space behind my rear 60/40 seats. Just some ratchet and recovery straps really.

Front 6x9 2 way speakers/w separate tweeter
Rear 6.5" speakers
Maybe an amp down the line (5 Channel ?)
eventually maybe a 10" shallow sub.

 

Pretty jealous of you folks upgrading your systems. Id like to make some upgrades eventually.

I had a sweet navi in my wrx that I wish I took out when I traded it for the tacoma. I built my own sub box for the wrx out of fiberglass; it fit perfectly in a little nook in the back of the hatch. Ended up just giving it to my buddy from back home who had a wrx of the same model year. He ended up selling his car a couple months later. If I can find them, ill post some pictures of the sub box build. Circa 2011 I think..

 

Been missing my sti a whole bunch lately. It was a pain in the ass to own but when it WAS working...

 

Was yours modded? Mine was stock aside from the stereo. And super reliable for me.

I still dream of a sti one day. Test rode in one with the wife when I still had the wrx. Sales guy in the front with me, wife (girlfriend at the time) in the back. Got on it a couple times going around the corners and each time I could hear a faint “MICHAEL” from the back. Definitely had a bit more oomf than mine, but they wanted way too much and were dicking me on my trade value so I passed. Traded it for the taco a year or so after that.

 

So my old one was my dad's and he got one of the first shipments they brought over back in 03, aside from derping the wheels mine was also bone stock and I definitely wasn't yearning for more in that thing. Dad actually taught me stick in it, so when I got my first car (bugeye rs) driving it was a cake walk haha. I loved how immediate the spool on the vf39 was

Nice, what exhaust did you go with? Eventually I'm sure I'll need one so I figure to upgrade a bit if possible

Black widow venom 250. I purchased the muffler from them on sale and then got the exhaust built at a shop in Manchester. Black widow is from the hot rod scene. Everyone goes with the normal "package" sets from all of the same brands.

Phone mics are only so good. It's better in person.

Very cool. I have the 4 banger so not so much caring about sound, but a little more free flowing would be nice if I gotta replace it anyway

 

I had Leaf Filters put on the house a few years back. The product is good. The install not so good. Had them come back to fix the catywankus curves they added to the house gutter. Then had them back when I realized the garage gutters were pitched the wrong way. Then the drip edge fell off a section of the roof. Oh, last weekend I was cleaning up some of the apparent gallon of silicone they used to plug the weep holes on the (supposed to be) uphill end of the garage gutters. But the product has held up well, the screens have no issues, and the biggest plus - the birds aren't living in my gutters now.

MIL has gutters installed friday. When we built the house we didn't make the overhang on the front and back quite as far as we should, to allow for more light to reach the upper windows. Rain dripping down and leaving black marks on the wood, so gutters and then I'll throw another coat of stain on in the spring probably.
