I just recently got close to maxing out the trucks’ payload capacity, and got kinda nervous seeing my leaf springs in the shape of a frown. So I want to install one of Toytecs’ add-a-leafs to help support the OEM leaf pack. Not trying to increase payload capacity, just make it less strained to haul the max load.

here’s the thing: the AAL kit gives 1.5”- 2” of lift. I’m not even looking for lift, but I guess that’s inevitable if adding a leaf. Sooo . . . . thinking of installing a couple toytec strut top plate spacers too. They’ll give about 1” of lift up front, so hopefully it’ll look decent against the 2” out back.

anyone have any thoughts or experiences with either the AAL or the strut top plate spacers?

I believe most people that don't want to lift and want to ¨beef it up back there¨ usually go the route of sumosprings or airbags.

I'm always following these thread as I'd also like to ¨beef it up back there¨ and don't want a lift, and it's the conclusion I got to. Still haven't pulled the trigger though.
