When I pull on the unlock latch in the cab, the hood does not pop up to get a couple fingers in between to get the hood completely up.

I tried pulling on the cable itself to see if it was disconnected. But it was pretty firm...

Does anyone have any tricks to get the hood up?

Have some push down on the hood, you pull the lever and then they pull up while you're still holding the lever out. Conversely pull the lever fully out and gently hit the hood at the latch with your fist and it may pup up.

Clean the rubber seal and contact areas. Mine gets like that when I go long times between washes or a long dry weather stretch.

Have someone lightly “hit” the the hood above the latch with their fist while you pull the lever in the cab. If you are by yourself, slowly drive on a rough road while holding the hood level out in the cab.

Once open spray the latch mechanism with some lube of your choice.

Vibrating the hood and lubing it should do the trick.

what a perfect gif. The only difference is that when I hit my hood a girl doesn’t automatically walk up to dance with me
