Wiper Fluid

I used my wipers to wash my windshield today (maybe one of the first times), could smell strong odor of the fluid with all windows closed....what gives?

 

Stagnant washer fluid, first time used. My 21 was the same

Where are you

 

The intake for the vents is right under the windshield. Turn on recirc.

 

The odor is being suck in from the window cowl when you do not use recycled air from the cabin

Hmmmmmm I never have the recirculated air on

 

Comes in handy when passing a garbage truck.
AC and heat work better too. However condensation does not, won't allow recirc.

I've bought washer fluid before that was made with recycled treatment plant water and didn't realize until I turned the wipers on.

I always read the label before buying it now.

In the Summer I use 50 50 water/vinegar with a dash of dish water soap and smell like french fries lol. Winter that is a different story will by the stuff that is good to -40.
