Thanks for the quick and thorough reply @jhunter80! I'm going to go with the Duratracs after your review and also watching that guy on YouTube lol also researching the 6112 lift. I was originally thinking 5100s all around but these have me interested now. We have mud, lava rock, and sand on the island and none of that is happening at fast speeds so those are my only concerns. As ideal as it would be to have a mid to long travel suspension, it's just not in the budget yet, maybe down the road. Love the truck though man. Sub'd, keep up the good work

Did you take your caps off of your front wheels to make it look like the back? I just got some F5s and don't like how the front looks different from the back.

Very nice build man, especially for a pre-runner.

Love your build. . .looking at the same lift/wheels/tires for my '18 TRDOR.

Don't you have the wrong lift height circled? You have 4WD, right? What you have circled is 2WD.

That's for the kind words. No my Tacoma is a Prerunner. I've also got a '99 4Runner that's 4WD, but I went with 2WD for the tacoma because long term I'd like to do long travel and even cut through the bed for long travel rear hidden inside my camper shell ... but as far as taking a truck out to scrap over rocks, I'll take the 4Runner ... have to admit my taco is more of a mall crawler at the moment but I love them both and they both serve a purpose!

Here are some pics of my '99 4Runner SR5 4x4. I bought it as you see in these pics, which has a three inch Fabtech lift. Plan to upgrade the tires/ wheels soon and tint the windows will be first mods.

Does anyone know about these coilovers? they are a little rusty, but work great so far. I'm sure I'll end up upgrading at some point, but for now they are actually pretty damn smooth on road and not bad offroad either.

Looking to get either SCS F5's or Ray10's in gunmetal + Toyo Open Country RT's in 285/75/r16 or maybe Falken Wildpeak AT3's ... not sure yet.

Sad ending to my build thread. I was hit my a carjacker involved in a high-speed police chase on the 5 Freeway. The guy was going 120 mph in a stolen Lexus and tried to get between my truck and the lefthand shoulder barricade. Pretty crazy experience and very lucky to walk away without any injuries, but I am afraid my truck took one for the team ;(

    New coverage of accident HERE.

Hopefully, my insurance treats me right and I can start a new build soon but I will have to wait and see.
