On the way down the stairs yes. It gets more fun as you go. The joists stick down so low I can't stand under one..plus the path I walk to the washer/dryer has the heating duct .

 

Just saw this on fbook. New sandtrap on the 13th at tpc Cromwell.

 

There were 28 water rescues by boat from homes last night down the street/hill from us. We could hear the sirens and see lights. 2 large brooks flooded most of the area last night around 10p and the flood was still getting worse around 5a when all of the additional water from surrounding towns started feeding Into our brooks again pushing them even further.

No issues for us though.

 

Did what I could at the in-laws.

Luckily they didn't have a lot of water, so it only took a couple of hours to clean up.

Got a couple fans going to keep the air moving, and two dehumidifiers; one is theirs and is always on, and the other i took from my house.

Lost count of how many times I had to empty out the ship vac.

Gonna stop by after my taekwondo class later to empty out the dehumidifiers, and check and make sure no more water is coming in.

Guy across the street from me wasn't so lucky. Had 4 inches of water in his basement, and he has a small hole at one of the front corners that is constantly letting in water.

I have a raised ranch, so I had no water whatsoever. Nice!

Yup. Lots of brooks streams go through here and they are all fed from Burlington and harwington area brooks.

I saw the the upper housy has reached flood stage @8ft.. Hopefully the front stretch at lime rock park isnt covered to bad. A Brook runs right next to it and around turn 1.

Yes but trust me they have a lot of uses, good thing to have around.

I can't stand up under a joist in my basement, so you can imagine how it sucked to use a Shop Vac..plus humping it across the room to empty it after climbing the bulkhead stairs. I just leave the pump in the lowest corner with a garden hose attached and the cord pinned up in the rafters. If it takes on water I just open the bulkhead, throw the hose across the driveway, plug in the extension cord, stand on the stairs and connect. Done.

Among other things, the pump is handy for getting water off my pool cover.

 

Just drove from Westchester to Stamford, looks like the back roads in Greenwich and around Westchester County Airport got hit pretty hard, things are pretty fine here though surprisingly

 

All those back roads have huge trees everywhere, I can imagine

 

Went to Newtown this morning and all the streams were ripping pretty good.
