So I bought this brake controller for my 08 tacoma and it came with what looks like an adapter. I'm just curious if this is all that is needed to plug straight into my pre-wired tow package adapter. Also am I able to disconnect and store the controller when not being used? Or is it better to just leave it hooked up? Lastly does anyone have a picture of what the connector looks like under the dash? I think I found it just want to make sure I got the right one. Thanks.

Best response I could ask for, straight to the point. I appreciate it.

On my truck it was tucked WAAAAY up and behind another big wiring harness... took me a chunk of time to find the connector. You can unplug it as you wish any time and tuck the harness up n outta the way.

I think I found it. It's the only one I can find and it matches the wiring harness so should be good.
