    Hey guys,

I just picked up a brand new 21 black DCLB TRD OR and so far loving it.
Also new to this forum, happy to be here not sure if I posted in the right place.

Anyways the other day I went to clean up my truck and noticed three dents with scratches on my tailgate and I'm honestly puzzled on how they got there. I'm taking her to the stealership two weeks from now since I have dent protection which goes into effect once I make my first payment.

My question is; will the 3rd party shop the stealership works with be able to make this look like new? I don't know much about body work so I'm seeing if someone on here can tell me what to expect. PDR and then scratch repair? How much to repair scratches?

I know I shouldn't nitpick too much but I can't lie it hurt when I saw the dents/scratches on my brand new taco. I'll make sure to provide after pics so this post can have some sort of benefit to someone with similar dents.

    Take care friends

Most places dealerships rely on are pretty good at what they do, especially with new vehicles. Recently we had a large crease/dent and scratch in the bottom of the door of our 2019 4Runner. The dealership made it so you literally cannot tell.

PDR should be able to take care of the dents pretty easily. I had a larger dent in one of my cars that they were able to take care of.

Maybe do some research on who they use to do the PDR work. Some are definitely better than others.

The scratches don’t look too deep either. As long as you can’t feel them with your fingernail you should be able to just buff them out.

Good idea, I'll call them up to find out who they use.

We like ours. A tailgate may be a little easier since they can pull that off. With our 4Runner they had to blend into the surrounding panels and pull the bumper cover in order to remove the headlight so they could wrap the clear coat around to prevent peeling. It seemed like a lot until they explained it and, like I said, I literally cannot tell even when comparing to the factory side that wasn't touched.
