Outdoor Cover - Gen 3

Anyone using one ? Only reason, heading to south FL, will be parked outside for 4 weeks. Storms can kick up anytime.

Two problems:

1. Condensation gathers under the cover.
2. Shifting cover (due to the wind, etc.) abrades the paint.

These two things together can cause rust.

Probably less damage to the truck by not using a cover.

 

I live in south Florida. My wife's car and my Honda Goldwing get the garage, and my Taco is relegated to the driveway full time. Was this way even before the Taco with all my vehicles for the past 10 years and have never had an issue. Put a sun shade in the windshield and park it outside sans cover.

 

A high quality car cover will cost $300-400. Have you considered renting a storage unit with a roll up door for those 4 weeks?

 

I am fine at our home in TN, plenty of garage space. This is for travel only, when a storm comes up. At home, heated and AC garage, no problems.
