So I recently relocated from Colorado to Missouri; about 7000' elevation at my old house to about 800' here at the new place. The auto transport showed up yesterday with my truck and first of all holy shit it's like a new truck, soooo much more low end power. Which was to be expected.
BUT I noticed on hard acceleration in 1st gear the truck would sort of cut out for a second around 2000-2500 rpm. One time it cut so hard it actually chirped the tires when it came back in. I know people have had trouble with spark knock when they buy the "regular" 85 octane shit in Colorado and then go back to sea level, but I've always ran 87/88 octane in this thing. Anyone else run in to anything like this when driving at altitude down to sea level?

Possibly give it some time to adapt to the new conditions. Most times, folks are driving from altitude to sea level or vice versa. Stupidly, the ECU remembers your last drives and uses those values to some extent.

Just give it some miles to adapt.

If it continues for more than say 100mi, post back up.
