I'll preface this post by saying that I wish Joe the best and that both the sliders and skid plates he made for me are fantastic.

However, as loyal customer to Mobtown I can no longer recommend their products.

I placed an order in November of 2020 for plate bumper and was given a 12-20 week timeline.

After months of sparce communication I finally picked up the bumper on June 22 and dropped it off at powdercoating.

Come installation there was a serious problem where clearly someone messed up their measurements....
    20210710_115740.jpg 20210710_114215.jpg
What made this worse was that the winch support brackets (the reason I got a bumper in the first place) did not line up meaning I could not use the winch at all.

By this time I had Joe's personal number and texted him the issue which he completely owned up to. He said that he would make me a new one which I could pickup at the end of July so we could confirm fitment.

After numerous non-replys in the proceeding weeks Joe eventually wrote back on August 12th saying he had already shipped the bumper to me because he was winding down his business. I begrudgingly accepted his course of action and waited to get a call from a shipping center for pickup.

I've texted, called, and emailed Joe over the last few weeks about getting a tracking number for this shipment given it should have already arrived coming from Delaware to northern Virginia. I have received no response.

Given the business troubles Mobtown is having coupled with the complete lack of communication, I issued a chargeback with my credit card. I do not think I was sent a replacement bumper and therefore do not recommend anyone do business with Mobtown.

That's what I thought at first, but to quote Joe "We don't make a front plate for a Tundra. It's certainly supposed to fit that truck."

Winding down his business? Thats crazy! I have their sliders and was looking into getting their skid plates later on this year when my new bumper (not Mobtown) is closer to completion.

    Oh, that sucks!!

I I do understand that my comment does not add anything to the conversation. Definitely feel bad for Op. As for Mobtown, it took just about two years to "finalize" my order, but I didn't have to cut up my truck and then find out that I'm at his mercy.

agree that this might be for another vehicle, however the winch support brackets not lining up would be a big issue for me.

This was my original thought as well, but Joe said they don't make plate bumpers for Tundras....I don't know what else this could possibly fit.

That would make sense if it was simply wider, but there's way too much of a gap in the front.

you will use that space when you end up building a full tube cage around the motor...

So, not really much I can say at this point. Phone line you were texting was also shut off. Your bumper was supposed to be shipped to your house. Apparently this didn’t happen. I just called the new owners and it’s still sitting at the shop. If you’d like, you can go pick it up. They’re aware it’s yours.
