    Just saw this long slice in my tire today:

    It's in the 2nd groove from the left. Cooper AT3 SL, 20k miles. Is this an urgent concern?

    looks like you ran over something that sliced it rather than a manufacture defect.

    A few additions to make me feel cool.
    Cooper had a recall on some of those. I don’t think that is what caused your issue but ask the google and you might get lucky and are owed a new set.
