I can’t wait to have a project to need it, almost every job I do ends up requiring a cut off wheel so I’m sure it won’t be long

This is why I choose Ryobi, that small saw will use the same Li as that driver.
while it isn’t as powerful as a new saw on same battery (a new blade probably wouldn’t hurt) it is still useable since the original batteries (NiCad) have long since died. I have a lot of old blue tools, I have a lot of new green tools. All use the same batteries.
does your Dewalt or Milwaukee from 15 years ago use the current technology ?
That is one thing that always pissed me off, you buy into a system and they change the power if you wanna upgrade and you loose the tools you’ve already bought.

Well since my current, cheap multimeter is sort of one its last legs (it only wants to work if the back cover is off...exposing the batteries and everything) I decided it was time to splurge and get a Fluke multimeter. SO picked up a "kit" that has Fluke 179 meter and Fluke 323 Clamp meter. Plus picked up the Fluke automotive test lead kit. And luckily has a small toughsystem container and foam leftover so it all fits in one nice place and is protected. Be much nicer having it all in one case instead of going back and forth to the toolbox for leads

 

Fluke is nice. My father in law gave me his and it’s old as dirt but still works.

 

Its what we had at work and also held up to being tossed around. Figured it was time to get one for the home. They are definitely made to last thats for sure!

 

Been using a Fieldpiece SC660 for the past 5 1/2 years and love it. Haven’t ever tried a Fluke, but the FP is so familiar now I don’t feel inclined to switch.

 

It's a very good tool, but I can't say that I agree with him removing the safety guard. Too each his own though.. I've beaten mine to death over the years and have generally had good luck with their line of tools.

 

Honestly I like the thick piece of copper with the handle backing more for those fun welds on thin gauge steel.

 

What are those things called? I've been wanting to get one but haven't found one yet.

A piece of copper pipe with the end smashed flat in a vice/with a hammer works well too.

 

Probably a little bit cheaper too.
