yesterday when i was trying to change preset buttons, it suddenly displayed EJECT and spit out a CD. and then another and then none of the buttons for presets, or Disc/Aux worked. Power on/off did nothing but spit out more CDs.

it worked after i shut of the truck and came back to it. I guess i need a new head unit. I'm still more attached to using CDs. but i have all of the same CDs loaded into my phone. i guess i should get a touchscreen unit and modernize up!

Or just get a single DIN disc player, that's all I have in my 2010. I don't need nav or backup camera, so I spent about $150 for a Pioneer HU

that's a good point - that's probably better for my budget - i already have backup cameras.

This is the one I have, not sure if still made but I'm sure they have something in the 150 price range

I already have a standalone GPS, I can't rationalize buying a nav unit plus the standalone can be shared if my wife needs it. I don't have a backup cam so that's another reason I don't need a screen.

I play CDs all the time, call me old I guess..but this and about another $30-50 for a dash kit and wiring adapter does everything I need it to
