    Good morning, everyone!!

Mike, you are a Mechanic God to me!!! Good luck this weekend. And, although I limited mechanical abilities, even I don't think that having oil come out of your dash is a positive thing.

Mike: Best of luck today but let the skill put your team in 1st place. TY for the pic.

Today is laundry, getting firewood for the winter and prepping a pork butt in a marinade so I can smoke it tomorrow.

MGB, oil leak in dash ... oil pressure gauge? The old ones had a capillary tube coming in from the engine.

All aftermarket gauges. Setup was nothing I would build. Yea he was getting a warm fuzzy feeling on the inside of his leg as the hot oil dripped on him

Good morning everyone!! Raining again this morning here in northeast PA. I've been letting the ground dry out hoping to cut it today but....noooooooo.

We did get in a hot air balloon flight last night. Our problem now is all the rain we have has our launch sites saturated as are most fields and yards where we land. We have to watch the trucks and trailers so we don't stick them in the mud and also so we don't tear up fields and yards where we land and alienate the land owners. We end up having to carry out the bag with the envelope and the basket to the road and load there which can be a chore.

    Be safe!

Picked up a free F150 load of firewood yesterday morning. More than enough for this winter. Also put a pork butt in a marinade overnight. It is time to get the smoker fired up to 250 degrees and the pork butt on the smoker.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Just ran my errand and took yesterday off! Enjoyed the Horns game; surfed some others. Made us some good Phillys' and jalapeno poppers. Truck Putz and pool day. I'm really treating this like a holiday! Well, I did have watering chores last night. More 100* days ahead, so sound like putz and pool is a plan!

Good morning everyone and Happy Labor Day!!

I did a little work in the stable yesterday - patching some holes and pulling some old boards so Lynn can paint the area where we'll keep the bee stuff. I need to get our grass cut but it rained again last night so I'll probably wait until tomorrow. We will head over to a neighbors place for a small Labor Day picnic they do each year. Hopefully, we'll miss any showers today.

    Be safe out there!!

Good morning early birds. :pccoffee: I've been spending all my time dealing with my folk's apartment and the things left in it, plus meeting with the law firm regarding their estate. There is still So. Much. Stuff. to deal with, physical and otherwise. Emotionally I've begun settling down, which is good because people will only tolerate a blubbering old man for so long!:)

I'm going back over to the apartment today to show a grand-nephew through and see if he wants anything. Then I'll come back home and do a chore or two in the yard, or maybe resume shredding some more of the mountain of paperwork my dad kept around, or sort through more of the mementos I can't seem to stop bringing back with me every time I go over there.

Or maybe I'll just pop open a cold beverage and watch the US Open...;)

So we are back with a wrecked race car.
Some over driving idiot made a bad decision and went off the track
And tried to come back on way to fast and t boned us. Lots of broken fiberglass.
Broken steering components. Frame looks ok so far.
We were on pace for our fastest lap times ever. Passing cars like crazy.
Have 4 weeks to see if we can rebuild it. Custom made parts aren’t easy.
Then I have to reset that whole friggin suspension and scale the car.
I usually do this over the course of a winter. I may have to do this over
    A 48 hour period.
I am so pissed right now..
Other guy was kicked out for this meet and on probation for 13 months.
So today I’ll start pulling stuff and get ahold of the body shop.
There was nothing Bob could do. He almost looped the car trying to avoid
    It..
But everyone is safe and ok.
    Soooo here we go

Welp today is the day to get the f150 ready to travel to Colorado .
I had it cleaned and waxed by a local kid. He's done it before and I think he does a really good job.
Oil change, new air filter, tire rotation and pressure...and anything else I think that needs to be done.
Here's a question, I understand that the purpose of a spare tire is meant to get you going again and not for long time use.
So I cranked it down, removed from the hanger and noticed that there isn't any/a wheel weight/s....is there supposed to be?
I searched and found both yes and no.
    Ps....full size spare 255 70 18.

Since it is a full tire spare take it to a shop and have them balance it.

Mike: Sorry to read about the T-Bone. Hope your repair endeavors pay off and you can make the next race. Some drivers have no respect anyone else on the track.

Today is my easy day. Son is cooking burgers and I just have a few loads of laundry to do. Yesterday however I was a busy boy. Got up at 6am and really did not stop till around 8pm. We redid the firewood and after it was done my wife said she will never complain about the cost of split firewood again. Fixed a problem with the pond, and started the pork butt on the EX6 at 8am and off at 5pm. Then there was the 5 loads of laundry during the day.

 Just came home and the neighbor was outside and informed me that almost his whole family has covid, there are 7 of them since his son and his family live there also. He said that they are all vaccinated and so far the symptoms don't seem too be too severe, hope all turns out well.

It's too bad you can't send the bill for the parts to the offending driver...
