    Look at image in first post...I can't see 100%, but it looks like it attaches to the frame farther forward.

    Nope...it's definitely attached at the far end. Loose on the near end.

    The rod has a bolt on the end, it is for people that can’t fit there arm in the frame to tighten the front bolt on the sliders. When you tighten the bolt the rod should hit the frame and allow you to tighten the bolt without it spinning.

    I forgot which side has more room for your arm to fit but I remember one side is more difficult then the other side, they might of just used it for that side. I had my wife (very small arms) hold the nut when I installed mine so I did not end up using the nut extension rod, but I’m 100% sure that is what the rod is.

    Very interesting…I will confirm when I loosen all the bolts to reposition the slider.
