I see you think the loco crew needs to stay on pavement:D:D

With all jokes aside, that looked great man. I would love to camp out there and explore. Soon enough.

We’ve kinda been setting up stuff in the Pittsburgh Overlanders Facebook group. But yeah, it hasn’t been an overly active summer, so far.

I'm balls deep into upgrading to 35s. Too many little things I didn't think of, too many things I did think of, bs Covid excuses on ship dates leaves me with hoping to be back on the trails by September.

I’ve been mountain biking. I tend to want to do a lot of truck stuff late winter/spring and Fall.

My wife and I went on a Colorado Trip over to the Telluride area to reunite with a good buddy of mine. I rolled through some trails with 2 square body GM's on 40's, and a 2019 TRD Pro 4Runner went on 2 easy runs with me. It was pretty fun to go onto some serious trails with a couple of seriously modified trucks, going neck and neck with the one exception of needing more spotting than they did since they could roll over pretty much anything. All of us have been in a lot of places wheeling throughout the states, and we all voted this the to have the best scenery.
There were also some damn good obstacles.
    Trails went on:
    Imogene Pass
    Governor Basin
    Yankee Boy Basin
    Poughkeepsie Gulch
    Ohir Pass

    Carnage:
Bent Hitch Loop for safety chains
Bumper scrapes and one unsnapped rear bumper clip
    Scratched the stock rims

Grew up right outside Forbes. If you ever go out to Wolf Rocks (short walk from Laurel Summit State Park and Spruce Flats Bog), there's a small campsite to the right before you go out to the rocks. As kids, my friends and I built a firepit there, carried rocks over from the quarry behind it to make seats and such. Now its grown into 2 fire pits and paths and rock tables, etc, but its neat to see our old spot still in action..We might've snuck in a beer or two but at least we weren't up there with spray paint like those @ss nuggets around Beam Rocks.

I dig your ditch lights. Do they reflect off the hood much?

I know exactly the spot you mean. Had the family up there awhile back. Really cool spot.

The way I currently have the ditch lights positioned, they do reflect off the hood somewhat.

So... are 4runner folks welcome here? haha not seeing a ton of groups for people around Southwestern PA (except the facebook one and I don't have facebook) so was hoping to tag along here. I got a lunar rock 2021 TRD pro a few months back and have done some light trails and car camping but weekend trips with some people who actually know what they're doing and can bail me out would be fun

Very possible! drove down and back from deep creek last week. Not a lot of these on the road right now but I think Toyota is making all 4runner trims in Lunar Rock next year so my status symbol won’t last long lol
